The Trust is governed by a Board of 11 Directors and a Company Secretary representing a wide range of interests and professions, including anglers, land managers, legal professionals and tourism.

The Trust employees have a range of skills to ensure we can effectively deliver our objectives. Additional field surveyors are employed to help during most summers. Trust staff and Directors sit on various boards and steering groups to assist in delivering our aims and objectives including the Scottish Fisheries Co-ordination Centre, Loch Ken Trust, Fisheries Management Scotland, Local Advisory Group, South Scotland Conservancy Regional Stakeholder Group and the Wild Salmon Strategy Implementation Plan Delivery Group.

As my internship with the Galloway Fisheries Trust draws to a close, I would like to say how grateful I am to everyone that made it possible.
As December is right around the corner, I am sad to say that my internship here at GFT is nearly over. However, I am grateful for my experiences at the trust and there is still plenty for me to get up to before it does come to a close.
