Mr Kenny Galt


Kenny joined the team in June 2021 and has a BSc Hons Degree in Environmental Biology from the University of the West of Scotland. Prior to joining the Galloway Fisheries Trust Kenny spent 16 years with The Tweed Foundation working as their Trout & Grayling Biologist.

Kenny’s responsibilities within the trust include electrofishing, water quality monitoring, river temperature monitoring and assisting in the delivery of habitat enhancement programmes. Originally from North Ayrshire in his spare time Kenny enjoys football and fishing.

Dan's second month as the GFT intern

Hello, Dan here again. Since my last blog I have been getting involved with a number of new things such as crayfish surveys, leading volunteers on habitat restoration works and helping to supervise works on the Black Water of Dee.
