Miss Victoria Semple

Victoria grew up in the suburbs of Glasgow before moving to Dumfries and Galloway after graduating.

Victoria studied at Edinburgh Napier University and gained a 1st Class BSc Hons in Marine and Freshwater Biology. She is a qualified PADI Dive Master and hopes to use this in the future. She has a young daughter and joined the trust as a volunteer during her maternity leave to gain experience. Victoria officially joined the team in April 2016 and her main responsibilities include coordinating the control of invasive non-native plants around the Galloway rivers and the running the GFT Water Quality Monitoring Program.

Victoria has now left the trust as a permanent member of staff to pursue a career as a biology teacher. Whilst she is training, Victoria will remain with the trust on a part-time basis until qualifying in 2021.
