Spirits were high at last weeks Wigtown Show. Jamie, Rowan and Neil were on hand to answer your questions about GFT work across the Galloway Rivers. You may also have met Andrew Gladstone - one of our trustees - who kindly helped us during the day.
As normal, we ran our ‘Guess the Weight of the Salmon’ competition, where we display a wild salmon caught from a Solway net and give members of the public the chance to guess the weight and win the salmon. Andrew McFadzean took home this year’s salmon, being the only person to guess the correct weight of 8 lb 1 oz.
We also ran a children’s competition which was won by Kian McNeil who took home a junior spinning rod and fishing cap.
If you didn’t manage to catch up with us at the Wigtown Show – we will have a stand at the Galloway Country Fair this weekend (17th/18th August).
