VACANCY AT GALLOWAY FISHERIES TRUST
(FIXED TERM MATERNITY COVER)
Maternity Cover is required from October 2017 until May 2018 (8 months) for a Fisheries Biologist Post.
Galloway Fisheries Trust is a conservation charity working on the fish populations, their habitats and water quality across the freshwaters of Galloway. The successful applicant will work alongside other biologists to deliver a range of research, monitoring and practical works. The candidate must be fit, motivated, hardworking and willing to work outdoors including during poor weather conditions. There may be a requirement to undertake some lone working from time to time. A full valid driving licence is essential. The position will be based in Newton Stewart.
This full time, fixed term post would suit someone with a Fisheries background with an interest in freshwater ecology and conservation. Previous relevant work experience is desirable.
Salary will be £18,000 - £25,000 pro rata (depending on experience). Closing date for applications is 9am 25th September 2017.
